The Coverage under the Social Security Section 40

Social Security Section 40 offers social security coverage for informal sector. After the Social Security Act 1990 has been amended, the informal sector enjoys the right that the government is a co-contributor to the Social Security Section 40. Additionally, the Social Security Section 40 has been upgraded to offer more incentives and welfare to apply through the amendment of the Royal Ordinance. The Social Security Section 40 is a voluntary contribution scheme.

A Social Security Section 40 insurer is a person who is not an employee under Social Security Act Section 33 or is a voluntary insurer. However, a Social Securityinsurer under Section 39 is called an independent insurer.
